On this tour you will visit some beautiful desert dunes as well as see the wonders of the south.

Marrakech > Dra’a valley > Agdez >  Zagora >M’hamid > Dunes of Erg Lihoudi  Dunes of Erg Chigaga (Sahara) > Quarzarzate > Ait Bin Haddou > Marrakech

Your private guide will speak your language. You will be picked up at your hotel/riad in Marrakech at 8am in a 4×4 cruiser.  The drive is very pleasant and you will see some stunning scenery along the way.

Day 1: Marrakesh – Agdez

Your tour starts from your hotel or riad in Marrakech at 8:00 am.

Main stops along the way:

  • Tichka Pass (2260m), the highest road pass in Morocco and Africa.
  • Ouarzazate – Visit the cinema studios where famous movies were filmed.
  • Lunch in Ouarzazate
  • Agdez where you will have a little walk in Draa valley.
  • You will spend the night in Kasbah of Tamnougalte or in a luxury Hotel.

Day 2: Agdez – M’hamid

Stops along the way:

  •  Dra’a Valley, full of large palm trees and ancient kasbahs.
  • Stops in villages and gardens so that you can gain a better idea of the way of life along the oases.
  • Zagora stop for lunch.
  • Tamgrout village to visit the Quoranice library and the pottery factory
  • M’hamid the gate to the desert.  Your day will end with a desert camel trek with a guide.  The camels will take you to the highest dune for the most magical sun set you will ever see. You will spend the night in a tent in the nomad camp close to the dunes of Erg Lihoudi.

Day 3: M’Hamid – Erg Chigaga Dunes (Sahara)

  • Early morning wake up to watch the most unforgettable sunrise.
  • Back to M’Hamid village
  • Erg Chigaga dunes
  • Picnic in the desert
  • Camel ride into the desert to watch the sunset
  • Night in the berber camp in your private tent.

Day 4: Chigaga – Ouarzazate

  • Early morning wake up to watch an other unforgettable sunrise.
  • Breakfast in the camp
  • You will make your way back to Marrakech through the desert
  • Stops at Lake Iriqui, the mountains and fossils.
  • Lunch break
  • Stop at village of Taznakht, famous for its Berber carpets and rugs. From there you will cross the High Atlas  to reach Ouarzazate at around 6:00PM .

Day 5: Ouarzazate – Marrakesh

Stops along the way

  • Kasbah Taourirt in the town – which belonged to the Glaoui family, the Pashas of Marrakesh.
  • UNESCO  Site – Ait ben Haddou. This Kasbah is the most impressive and well-preserved fortress cities in Morocco.  The Gladiator and The Vikings were filmed here.
  •  Ounila valley and  Telouet Kasbah.
  • Arrive in Marrakesh at 5:00PM.


  • Departure at : 8:00 AM.
  • Drop off at your hotel/riad the fifth day at 5:00 PM
  • You can take pictures of women in the cooperative, but in the villages or on the road you have to ask to photograph people, or shops .
  • We recommend sensible shoes or trainers.
  • Cash is the preferred method of payment across most of Morocco as very few traders have card facilities
  • We’d expect you to know this already, but when you’re buying something in Morocco, haggling is the name of the game. And it is a game, don’t get highly offended if someone offers you something at ten times its value, make a counter bid!
  • Coin purse are good to take, as you will need small amounts of money for photos ,snacks, tips, and toilets ” 2 Dirhams”
  • There are numerous pharmacies in Morocco, though it is advised that you get a prescription from your doctor before you leave if you need regular medication. If you feel ill but don’t think it’s serious enough for a hospital, visit a pharmacist will usually be able to help you, and recommend a doctor if you need one.
  • Morocco is predominantly a Muslim country (though a more socially liberated one than many others), so please be aware that some behaviour that is acceptable at home is not permitted here. Dress is usually more restrained.
  • We require a 20% deposit before hand to confirm your booking for the tour, via Paypal or Bank Transfer
  • Money back if cancelation 30 days before the Tour.

In regards to accommodations when you contact us we will send you an email with the list of accommodations you will be staying in. They will all be approved Pension type hotels which have been rated as having a good and comfortable stay. During the one night stay in the desert we will offer a glamping style tent with good conditions which allow you to get the true experience of the Sahara. How ever there is the option of staying in luxurious hotels for an extra fee, if preferable.
